ANGOLO FLAT is a stainless-steel wash-hand basin designed for bathrooms with tight space constraints, e.g. for shops and bachelor apartments. Its minimal size realized by a stainless-steel top panel with a round sink allows for effective use of space even in a narrow wash-hand space. The top panel made of a 3mm-thick stainless-steel plate gives the sink both durability and a pleasant appearance.

he Angolo Flat wash basin is evidence of a very functional, simple and clean design approach. The manufacturing technique, precision and surface treatment of the stainless steel allows this material, which has usually been used for the public realm, to enter the private sphere. The compact volume of the product, which makes it so useful and practical for many applications, has been achieved through basic, but effective, rationalization. This product is a superb example of a combination of minimal design and maximal functionality.

「アンゴロフラット」はトイレなど、狭小スペース向きに設計された、プレート天板と丸型ボウルが一体となったミニマムサイズの洗面ボウル。素材はSUS304オールステンレスで、強度が高く手入れがしやすく商業施設など不特定多数が使用する過酷な条件にも対応。デザイン性と耐久性を兼ね備えた仕上がりにしています。

受賞評価

手洗器「アンゴロフラット」には、非常に機能的、そしてシンプルでクリーンなデザインアプローチが明確に表現しています。ステンレスという素材は一般的には主に公共施設で使われてきましたが、素材自体の製造技術と品質及び加工性の高さにより、一般建築などの民間への用途が広がりました。本製品は基本的かつ効果的に合理化することで、実用的で多くの用途で使うことができる、コンパクトなサイズが実現されています。ミニマルなデザインと最大限の機能性を組み合わせた、秀逸な事例と言えます。
